Fulfilling a New Year's resolution, I spent the afternoon at the Archive of American Art in Washington DC reviewing box 8 and 9 of the Betty Parsons Collection. Most of the KIPP ephemera is already scanned and available online but none of the photos were scanned. The Archive has very strict copyrights on the images but I will do my best to come up with something to depict so many pieces that are not included on this site.
It was a thrilling afternoon as I uncovered so many new transitional pieces that helped fill in the gaps. between the plaster and bronze work of the late 50s and early 60s to the plywood and steel work of the late 60s.
I have my work cut out for me. Stand by for new data
